Dr. Paz Eilat, MD, CEO & Chief Medical Officer
An Internal and Family physician, practicing medicine in the Los Angeles area for more than 19 years. He is highly experienced in treating thousands of patients with diabetes, high blood pressure and elevated cholesterol. Dr. Eilat practices the most advanced methods in treating these conditions. He attended Medical School at Szent-Gyorgyi Albert Medical University in Szeged, Hungary, graduating in 1992. Dr. Eilat completed his Internal Medicine Residency program in 1996 at the University of Nevada, Reno, School of Medicine VA Medical Center and Washoe Medical Center Affiliate in Reno, Nevada. He has been the research site lead on several clinical studies, most notably a multi-center, randomized, double-blind clinical trial examining the safety and efficacy of various compounds in adult Asthma patients and a multi-center, randomized, double-blind trial researching skin and skin structure infections in adults.
Avi Rapaport, COO
A seasoned entrepreneur and businessman with extensive experience spanning more than 25 years in R&D, sales, marketing, international business development and entrepreneurship. Highly experienced in launching and building business opportunities in the US and European markets, he has performed in this capacity for several large US corporations. In recent years, he helped fund and operate several startup technology companies in the US.
Mark Becker, EVP Sales and Marketing
A highly accomplished marketer of dietary supplements and functional foods in the US with a proven track record of developing new business opportunities in these spaces. Accomplishments include: (a) spearheading the marketing team at Jarrow Formulas that increased sales more than threefold during Mark’s 10-year tenure, (b) Securing the largest account in Vivion company history (60+ years) that resulted in more than $2 million in sales in Q4 2015 alone (c) hosting his own health radio show (9+ yrs) with Al Forman on AM WLVJ 1040 broadcast to Miami and surrounding areas, (d) being named 2016 and 2017 columnist for Vitamin Retailer Magazine.
Iftah Arad, EVP Logistics
He has more than 35 years of high-level business experience in a wide range of range industries. Iftah has most recently focused on Nutraceutical technology. In 2010, he and several other colleagues built a company called Licorich Food Supplements. The company markets and sells a unique Nutraceutical supplement called Licorich, which is made from a special Glycyrrhiza Glabra Root Extract patented in Europe and the US and is FDA approved. This proprietary Glycyrrhiza Glabra Root Extract is clinically validated by leading researchers and has a wide range of health benefits including reduction of arterial plaque, blood pressure and high cholesterol, as well as addressing many health issues associated with diabetes. Previously, Iftah was a technical executive in the agriculture and water technology industry managing and operating several large scale projects. Iftah has a management degree in agriculture and automated control systems.
Dr. Yakov Fogelman, MD, Head of Research
Dr. Fogelman has conducted research on the efficacy of the Glycyrrhiza Glabra Root Extract on Atherosclerosis and reduction of plaque in clogged arteries. In recent years, Dr. Fogelman was an active participant in 20 studies at top universities and hospitals. He is also an accomplished speaker and lecturer and has been published in a wide range of journals. Dr. Fogelman worked for one of the largest medical insurance companies (Leumit health fund) as a Regional Manager and, most recently, became head of its pain clinic. He is an expert in the field of obesity and its impact on Coronary Artery Diseases. He is also one of the foremost authorities in the field of pain management. A member of many associations and overseas, Dr. Fogelman is a qualified expert in the field of clinical obesity management and was a member of the European Association for the Study of Obesity and the International Obesity Task Force. He received his Ph.D in Medicine from the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine, Technion, Haifa, where he also has a lecturer position.
Jonah Gavrieli, Ph.D, Director of Science
Dr. Gavrieli obtained a Doctorate in water microbiology/biotechnology from ETH, the Swiss Federal Technical University (ETH-Zurich, Switzerland). His doctorate research was conducted at the Swiss National Water Institute (EAWAG). He spent his sabbatical years at Penn State University (USA) cultivating microorganisms in industrial bioreactors and in the Biology Department at Technion University in Israel studying genetic engineering technologies.
Dr. Gavrieli’s experience includes working as the Chief Scientist at the plant tissue culturing laboratory of Biological Industries (Israel) followed by many years as the Head of the biotechnological processes unit in the TAMI-IMI R&D institute of Israel Chemical (ICL). His research activities included extracting bioactive compounds from a wide range of plants and he is considered an expert in this field.
Susan Brienza, Ph.D, Advisor, FDA Regulation
Dr. Brienza has 19 years of legal experience helping companies navigate complex federal laws relating to the manufacture, labeling, marketing, and sales of dietary supplements, pet supplements, organic foods, “functional foods,” sports drinks, cosmetics, “cosmeceuticals,” aromatherapy, over-the-counter drugs, homeopathic drugs, medical foods, and some medical devices. Food and drug law issues include: new dietary ingredient (NDI) Notifications, third-party scientific literature, self-affirmed GRAS status, import/export and detention matters, and formal comments to the FDA on Draft Guidance and Proposed Rules. In addition to regulatory compliance in FDA matters, Susan also counsels on advertising law—in all areas of marketing: print ads, websites, TV and radio ads, infomercials, telemarketing, consumer testimonials, expert endorsements, contests and free offers, and (of course) social media promotions. Before practicing law, Ms. Brienza was a university professor in stylistics and 20th Century American and British literature at Carnegie-Mellon and UCLA. She brings her proficiency in language to her regulatory compliance practice in crafting permissible and persuasive descriptions and claims for clients to employ in labels, labeling and advertisements of their products, including patient information sheets and healthcare brochures. As a practicing attorney, she has shared both her regulatory expertise and real world client counseling experience with Arizona State University law students, as a frequent guest lecturer in Biotechnology and Nanotechnology courses.
Her practice includes advising clients as to compliance with Federal Trade Commission (FTC) law and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) regulations, as well as Food and Drug Administration (FDA) laws and regulations. For instance, she has evaluated label claims, advertising claims and disclaimers for organic cosmetics, natural toothpastes, and for GMO foods. In addition to regulatory compliance and enforcement matters, Ms. Brienza assists in litigation, with particular focus on cease and desist disputes, product liability, and false advertising cases. Her legal work since 1997 has also included white-collar criminal defense work and lobbying/public policy matters, e.g., for a manufacturer of organic meats and for coalitions of supplement companies.

John Markley, M.D.
John Markley, M.D., is Chief, Cardiothoracic Surgery at Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. He was originally assigned to this VA by the US Army when he became Active Duty in July 2002, maintaining his Active Duty status while functioning as a full-time Staff Surgeon at the Truman VA until his Army service ended in 2012.
The only time he spent away from the Truman VA occurred due to military deployments (2 tours in Iraq). After completing his Army service, he accepted a full-time position at the Truman VA working directly for the VHA, where he became the Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery in September 2013. He was an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Missouri from 2003 to 2012 and currently serves as an Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor (2014 through present). He has also provided Cardiothoracic Surgery coverage through the Missouri Heart Center in Columbia, MO since 2011.
Education and Residency
Dr. Markley, attended Medical School at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) from 1988-1992. He did his General Surgery Residency at MCW from 1992-1999. He completed a 2-year Cardiothoracic research sub-fellowship at MCW from 1995-1997 (between years 3 and 4 of General Surgery residency). He attended LA County +University of Southern California for his Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency from 1999-2002.

He is Board Certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and is a Fellow of 1) the American College of Surgeons, 2) The American College of Chest Physicians and 3) The American College of Cardiology.
Yoram Gershman, Ph.D.
Dr. Yoram Gershman is an accomplished biochemist who has decades of scientific research experience. He is a world-class authority in the areas of industrial enzymes, ecological biochemistry, environmental biochemistry, Biofuels, natural products, waste water treatment, and secondary metabolites.
Dr. Gershman completed his Ph.D. summa-cum-laude at Hebrew University in Jerusalem in 2000. He did a post-doc at Princeton University in the United States. He has been a faculty member at Oranim Academic college in Tivon Israel since 2005. Dr. Gershman has more than 40 published papers in major scientific journals worldwide.
Sherrill Sellman, N.D.
Sherrill Sellman, N.D., Naturopathic Doctor (Board Certified in Integrative Medicine), is an educator, women’s natural health expert, psychotherapist and journalist in the field of women’s health.
